When to use our maps

GM: It’s getting late… soon the pale sun will vanish behind the tall, dark trees.
Player: Ok, as we go along, we watch out for a suitable place to make camp!
GM: After a while you come by a small glade surrounded by …

Hours later…a heinous foe attacks the group! The players frown on a hastily sketched chart of the aforementioned glade and their campground now, searching for a likely place to hide, to run for or to stand their ground. Wouldn’t it be grand to be able to produce a nice map of this surprisingly hot spot?

Our maps are timeless, culture-free and system neutral, and can be played on or populated by elves, agents, aliens, SWAT teams and, of course, any human hero of any epoch whatsoever. They show typical – and sometimes not so typical – outdoor locations for your RPG: Areas of 1500 by 1500 feet for projection and printing; that is, more than 50 acres of terrain for fight or flight. They answer needs like:

  • “Is there any place we can land the boats safely and climb the rocks?”
  • “Up the road comes a small grove, we will regroup there at noon!”
  • “We follow the river until we find more shallow waters to cross safely…”
  • “Between the trees you spot a crag that rises above the canopy…” – “Great, we climb it for a better view!”

Ever wondered where your awe-inspiring long-range spells struck? Now visit the site where you smote the approaching enemy, together with your fellow PCs!

Each map is a stand-alone product, but they can be used together, of course.

  • RiaML-I shows a section of the mountains that could be situated right before (or after) this one, RiaML-III
  • RiaML-II depicts a more picturesque and cultivated section, probably situated on a somewhat lower altitude
